3 kings day parade (12th night) which takes place in the town streets is also worth seeing when brightly decorated floats and fancy dress clad locals dish out sweets and small gifts to spectaters along the route.
Holy week (Easter) also sees religious parades take to the streets.
Another very popular festivity takes place on July 16th, when the fishing village of La Carihuela, pays tribute to its patroness, "La Virgen del Carmen". The virgin's image is placed onboard a fishing boat and escorted by numerous craft in a nautical procession.
There is always something going on in Torremolinos and the people of the twn are no different to other Spaniards in their love for Fiestas and celebrations.
